What’s an online party?

Online parties are home shows gone hi-tech.  They’re easier for the hostess (i.e. no cleaning or food to prepare) and more convenient for the attendees because they can shop any time over the course of seven days.

 

How does an online party work?

It’s easy! 

 

1.      Send an e-mail to info@thegifthouseky.com indicating you would like to host a party and the date you’d like it to start.  Make sure to include your name, e-mail address and mailing address in your message.  Please provide at least one week’s notice before the date you want your party to begin.

2.      Send us your guest list including first and last names and e-mail address.  We’ll send an e-invitation the day your party begins and a reminder the day before it ends.

3.      Invitations will include your name and hostess code to ensure you get credit for the orders placed by your friends and relatives.  We recommend that you invite at least 25 people to your party.  Feel free to invite more participants even as your party is going on.

 

Based on the sales generated from your online party, you’ll qualify for free and half-price items. 

 

What do I receive for hosting an online party?

Hostesses receive 10% of total pre-tax sales in free merchandise and one half-price item.  For each of your invitees/buyers that books an online party of their own, you’ll receive an additional $50 in free merchandise.  Sales must equal $250 to qualify as an online party.

 

So, for example:

If your party sales equal $1,000 (before sales tax) and two friends book their own online party…

 

…you’ll receive $100 in free merchandise, one half-price item and an additional $100 in shopping credits.
